We then continue on to the Kao Sok national park for some spectacular biking and scenery with a rest day at the "Cheow Lan lake" where will do a short trek through the "Nam Talaoo cave" then relax on the floating bungalows. From there we continue on to Phangna, Krabi and back to Phuket.

Biking In Northern Thailand

If anywhere in Asia epitomizes the freedom and adventure of mountain biking it has to be Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and the golden triangle. Here valleys that were once host to ancient kingdoms and opium fields are now home to colorful hill tribes and some of the most spectacular mountain scenery world-wide. The best way to experience the richness of the region is by mountain bike. We follow winding trails to remote villages, seeing elephants at work and visiting Akha, Lisu and other hill tribes in there local habitat. Our trails take us to the famous " Chiang Dao caves ", where we have time to explore these fascinating formations or along the " Mae Kok " river which runs from the Burmese border into the mighty " Mekong" river. We discover the real Thailand often seen but rarely experienced.

The areas selected for our mountain bike tour have been carefully selected. Northern Thailand is an area of immense natural beauty and home to numerous sites of interest. The scenery is constantly changing and we venture to parts few tourists will ever see. The trails are off road and of moderate difficulty, suitable for riders with some mountain biking experience, whilst there are always a number of more difficult routes for the more serious mountain bikers to attempt including some hairy descents.

We have a support vehicle fully equipped and always close by in case anyone needs to "hitch a lift".
